Black Masterbatch — Choose the Right Grade, Not a Catalog Guess

We have compounded black masterbatch at our Huizhou plant since 2010. Tell us your base resin, target jetness and process, and we match a grade — then prove it with a free sample on your own line. No trading-company markup in between.

What black masterbatch actually is

A quick, buyer-side view — what goes in, what comes out, and why the grade matters more than the price tag.

Black masterbatch is a concentrated blend of carbon black pigment dispersed in a carrier resin. You meter a small percentage (the let-down ratio) into your natural or virgin polymer during extrusion or injection, and the whole batch comes out a uniform black. The "master" part means it is pre-mixed at high shear, so the carbon black is already broken up and wetted — you avoid agglomerates, specks and streaking that raw pigment would cause.

Three variables decide whether a grade works on your line: the carrier resin (it should match or be compatible with your base polymer), the carbon loading (how deep the black is), and the let-down ratio (how much masterbatch per hundred parts of resin). Get these wrong and you get poor dispersion, weak weld lines, or a color that drifts lot to lot. Get them right and you get a stable black that passes audit and looks the same on every part.

How to choose the right grade

A short selection checklist we use with every new buyer. Send us the answers and we return a grade code plus a sample.

1 · Carrier

Match the carrier to your resin

PE and PP carriers for polyolefin parts; ABS for automotive trims; EVA for cable and foam. A carrier close to your base polymer disperses cleanly and avoids compatibility haze.

2 · Jetness

Set the carbon loading

30–50% carbon black covers most needs. Higher loading = deeper black but higher viscosity; we tune it to your target shade and your process window.

3 · Process

Fit the let-down ratio

Typical letdown is 1–4%. Thin-wall or color-critical parts need tighter dispersion; we advise the ratio so your line runs without streaks.

4 · Spec

Confirm compliance needs

Low-odor for interiors, UV-stable for outdoor pipe, food-contact options for packaging. Tell us the standard and we match a grade.

Where our black masterbatch goes

We compound for specific end-uses. Pick the one close to yours for grade detail:

Automotive interiors

Low-odor black masterbatch for dashboards, trims and wire harness. Stable color, audit-ready paperwork.

Pipe & profile

UV-stable black for pressure pipe, conduit and outdoor profile. Consistent lots, outdoor durability.

Film & blown film

High-dispersion grade for mulch, garbage and liner film. No gel, no specks at thin gauge.

Cable & packaging

EVA carrier for cable jacketing; food-contact options for rigid and flexible packaging.

Why buy factory-direct from E-LUCK

  • Real plant, since 2010. You deal with the manufacturer, not a trading company — the margin stays in your cost.
  • Your spec stays private. Drawings and formulas are kept inside our plant, not broadcast to competitors.
  • Grade, not guess. We match carrier, loading and let-down to your resin and process, then prove it with a sample.
  • Audit-ready. ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 plant with CoA per lot for traceability.
  • Capacity to scale. 60,000 t/yr plant serves 30+ countries — trial today, volume next quarter.
  • Fast answer. One sales desk handles quote, sample and shipping, so you are not ping-ponging suppliers.
