We are the plant, so we can quote a firm price instead of a range. Here is what actually drives black masterbatch cost per kg, why two quotes for "black masterbatch" can differ by a wide margin, and how to get a number you can plan on.
Most price gaps between two quotes are not margin games. They come from a different specification of the same-sounding product.
| Carbon black content | The single biggest driver. Higher loading costs more per kg but lets you run a higher let-down. |
|---|---|
| Carbon black type | Standard pigment black and specialty conductive or UV grades are priced very differently. |
| Carrier resin | PE, PP, EVA and PET carriers carry different raw-material cost. |
| Order volume | Trial lots, pallets and full containers are priced on different scales. |
| Packaging & logistics | Bag size, palletising and shipping terms are usually quoted separately from the resin price. |
| Certifications | ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 |
Send us your loading, carrier and monthly volume — we will send a firm price and a sample, not a price range.
You are quoting with the plant, so there is no middle margin sitting between you and the production cost.
Give us a real specification and volume and we give you a firm price you can plan a budget around.
We hold pricing across repeat orders where the raw-material picture allows, and tell you early when it moves.
Test the grade on your own line before committing volume. Your spec stays confidential.
Before you compare two prices per kg, make sure you are comparing the same product:
A 20% grade and a 45% grade are not the same product, however similar the bags look.
Compare cost per kg of finished product, not per kg of masterbatch.
PE, PP and PET carriers are priced and behave differently.
Ask whether packaging, testing and freight are inside the number or on top.
We need four things: carbon loading, carrier resin, monthly volume and destination. With those we send a firm price the same working day. Without them any number would be guesswork.
Usually a lower carbon loading, a different carrier or a different carbon black type. Compare the specification and the let-down ratio before you compare the price per kg.
Carbon black is a commodity and its cost moves. We hold quoted prices for the validity window we state, and we tell you early when the raw-material picture is shifting.
We quote from 1 ton per specification upward. Give us a monthly volume as well as a first-order quantity and we can show the price step between trial and contract volumes.
Tell us what you are running and how much you need. We reply with a firm factory quote and a sample — no obligation.
